In this workshop, we will explore ways to interact and commune with the spirit and energies of plants and nature for knowledge, healing and power.  Through discussion and hands on practice opportunities we will delve deeper into our innate wisdom and connection to nature.

Co-facilitators, Melbra and Amelia created this workshop based on their experiences communing with nature. Melbra has a background in shamanic energy medicine from native African and Peruvian traditions and works with the elements of nature.  On distinct occasions, plants have communed with Melbra about upcoming events which gave her new insights into the nature of these beings.  In this workshop, Melbra will share shamanic ways of perceiving, interacting and communing with plants and nature.     Amelia's experience of communicating with nature emerged through spending daily meditative time outdoors.  In 2012, a group of plants began speaking to Amelia and said they would give her 12 lessons.  This opened up a new avenue of understanding and connection to herself and all of life. In this workshop, Amelia will share the practices she has used to communicate with plants, as well as empowering messages from the plants about living in harmony and balance.

Fall Cleansing With Herbs: Healing From the Inside Out

Instructor: Tanya Henderson

Date: Sunday, September 24th, 2017

Time: 10am-4pm

Location: Soul Flower Farm

Cost: $100

Materials: $25

The age-old practice of cleansing is important to staying healthy and in alignment with the seasons! Autumn is a deep time for letting go of what no longer serves and composting old, restrictive ways and beliefs in order to make room for a fresh harvest and the planting of new seeds. As the days grow shorter and we begin to retreat inwards, fall calls forth the resilience of the colon and its ability to efficiently eliminate large amounts of waste that can build up in the body over time. It functions as the second largest channel of elimination, after the skin, and is responsible for reabsorbing fluids and processing the body’s waste products.  This class will introduce you to a family of colon cleansing herbs that will assist your path of clearing from the inside out and teach you the cornerstones of a productive cleanse.  We will have a colon cleansing tea blend tasting, create a digestive bitters formula and learn how to prep the colon for a productive release with castor oil packs.
